Community Art

From projects with families and vulnerable individuals, through to public exhibitions of art made by young people NEET, Ruth is experienced in working with a wide range of groups. She is able to develop and deliver arts projects to suit any creative brief, timescale and budget.

Creative Workshops

Ruth specialises in teaching drawing and painting, as well as other creative skills such as jewellery making, recycled fashion, resin casting, papier mache sculpture and short activities suitable for drop in sessions at festivals and fetes. She runs these classes regularly at schools, colleges, galleries and arts centres.

Team Building

Could your business do with a day out? Creative Team Building uses fun activities to bring out the best in a team to ensure self-development, positive communication, leadership skills and the ability to work closely together to problem solve. Ruth can offer an exciting, diverse and relevant mix of high quality, creative activities that will excite and challenge any business or employee. Team building can take place within the workplace or can include off site visits to places such as museums and galleries, or even outdoor creative treasure hunts!

INSET Day Training
Ruth runs INSET days which give teachers ideas for projects, display boards, creative techniques and arts activities. She also designs bespoke training days for schools focussing on issues such as dealing with change and communication skills. INSET training is tailored to suit any schools individual needs, timescale and budget.

Arts Based Training for Business

Arts Based Training is different, inspirational and bespoke. Arts based activities are designed to fulfil any business training need, delivering experiential learning which is powerful, personal and owned by participants, and developing skills transferable to the workplace.

Ruth has been trained by Arts and Business Cymru to design and facilitate custom made programmes and workshops for issues such as managing change, innovation and creative thinking, leadership skills, customer service, communication and listening skills.

Sessions are experiential, with participants interacting with one another; it’s not about artistic talent but more about your ability to think creatively and communicate. Projects can range from short (1/2 day) to long term, and outcomes can include artworks for display in your office or workplace. Please contact Ruth for a free consultation.

Ruth teaches creative drawing and painting techniques to students of all ages. These include pupils from Bishop of Llandaff High School, further education students from Coleg Morgannwg and degree students from UWIC and Coleg Sir Gar.
